ULTIMATE GOLF CHALLENGE
User Guide
Introduction
Ultimate Golf Challenge is the mobile version
of the popular golf game developed by Z|O Interactive. It brings
all of the elements of playing golf together in a comprehensive
and enjoyable game playing experience. These elements include effects
like wind and slope, and other factors such as trees and the terrain
the ball is on. In addition, you have 14 clubs to choose from. Ultimate
Golf Challenge is designed for mobile handsets, and is
very easy and comfortable to play.
Characteristics
Ultimate Golf Challenge is an eighteen-hole course,
totaling nearly 7000 yards. You can select to play 3, 6, 9, or 18
holes of golf. The game play is quite challenging and enjoyable.
Ultimate Golf Challenge also includes an auto
save feature, which saves the state of your game after each action
is taken. If your battery should run out of power, or your game
must be interrupted, you can always return to where you left off.
Game Play
Playing
Ultimate Golf Challenge is very simple. To begin
playing, we start the application from the phone’s list of
applications.
Once the game is started, and after the splash screen, you see
the start screen and a flashing message stating “PRESS ANY
KEY”. Press any key to get started playing the game.
Select an action from the main menu. When continuing a saved game
you will be taken immediately back to where you left off before
quitting your previous game. Otherwise, selecting a new game will
overwrite the saved game and you will be given the option to select
the number of holes to play.
After you choose 'NEW GAME' you can select the number of holes
to play. 3, 6, 9, and 18 hole games are available. Before you begin
each hole you will see a mini-map of the hole and information about
par and the distance of the hole as shown below.
During game play, anytime the ball is on the game, you will be
given a zoomed version of the map, which shows the green closer
up and the ball relative to the hole. This allows for easy putting.
After you have finished all the holes you selected to play, you
will be shown a screen with your total score. You can then return
to the main menu.
