Opting in to Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is easy with UScellular. There are a few terms and conditions you should keep track of so you get connected quickly.

  1. Confirm all your information with UScellular matches what is entered on your ACP application. This includes:
    • Full Name - including middle name or initial, if used
    • Address - the format of your address must match exactly
  2. Only the person listed as the account owner for the UScellular account can certify and opt in for ACP benefits.
Note: If your child or dependent receives a benefit that qualifies you for ACP but you do not, there is a section on the application for their information as well. You MUST provide UScellular with that information as well for us to complete your enrollment in the program.
  3. If you subscribe to Prepaid services with UScellular, please make sure your account contains
    • Your name
    • The last four digits of your SSN
    • Your date of birth
  4. If you only subscribe to internet services with UScellular, please make sure there is an alternate phone number on file for us to contact you. We’ll reach out via text message.

To opt in to ACP through UScellular, customers must meet ONE of the eligibility requirements and be on an eligible price plan. Once your eligibility is confirmed, your ACP credit will appear within one to two billing cycles. ACP is non-transferrable and limited to one monthly internet discount per household.

ACP is a federal program, operated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that reduces your internet and wireless service bill. If you qualify, your ACP benefit can be applied to any UScellular plan with data. You may apply your ACP benefit to any participating provider and you may transfer your ACP benefit to another provider at any time. You may file a complaint against UScellular via the FCC’s Consumer Complaint Center. UScellular may disconnect your ACP-supported service after 90 consecutive days of non-payment.

Your bill will revert to UScellular’s undiscounted rates and general Terms and Conditions if:

  • ACP ends
  • You transfer your benefit to another provider but continue internet service with UScellular
  • Your household is no longer eligible
